About Tanya

I am a certified equine bodywork practitioner based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My lifelong connection with horses began when I was nine years old with a beautiful Palomino named Nikki. I spent countless hours caring for her, riding her bareback, and simply being with her. That early bond shaped a connection with horses that has remained a constant thread throughout my life.

Over the years, my experiences with horses have taken many forms, from working horseback on a cattle ranch in Australia, to caring for rescue horses at The Horse Shelter in New Mexico, and later working as a wrangler with Horses for Heroes New Mexico.

In 2019 I began my formal education in therapeutic equine massage through Equinology, completing more than 300 hours of training. I later studied the Masterson Method and became a Certified Masterson Method Practitioner (MMCP).

Today, I integrate Therapeutic Equine Massage, the Masterson Method, and Equine Positional Release in my work. By drawing from these different approaches, I help horses release tension, improve comfort and mobility, and find greater ease and balance in their bodies.

At the heart of my work is a simple philosophy: to be an advocate for the horse. By listening closely to what each horse communicates through their body, I take a gentle, responsive approach that honors the individual horse and their needs. My goal is to support the horse’s well-being while also deepening the connection and understanding between horse and owner.
